We Jumped

It's very simple. He was a man who played basketball. He was a man, just like the rest of us men. One of the differences was that he chose to play basketball; a common man, but a great basketball player. He was a fierce competitor, a lover of winning, with a blue collar commitment to working to become the best he could. Imagine how often many of us fans simultaneously jumped out of our seats throughout our New England homes as a response to the MANY great plays of Dennis. The old Boston Garden was fortunate to have been graced by his presence & life. Thank you to Dennis and my prayers & thoughts go out to his family. I hope his children are doing well this many years later. I met Dennis in Boston at the grand opening of the Champion Sports Bar. Shook his hand, chatted a moment, then we both moved on, heading for the next Boston Celtics NBA championship. Marty Curran
