DJ...1/3 of one of the GREATEST backcourts in NBA history....DJ....Gus...Freddie......The 1979 NBA World Champion Seattle SuperSonics....I'll always remember the 3 DJ hit to send it into O.T. to beat the Celtics at the Garden on Super Bowl Sunday 1980...Mighty Times for Seattle fans....and there was DJ,kicking the team bench folding chair after that NON-foul was called in Game #1 of the '79 Finals that put Larry Wright at the line to steal it for the Bullets with 0:00 on the clock!...I always say we beat Washington 5 straight to take the Title....My lasting image of Dennis Wayne Johnson, Hall of Famer, is of him smoking that big stogie in the Sonics lockerroom at Landover,MD, a first time World Champion, and MVP of The Championship Series.....Rest In Peace DJ.....Forever a Seattle SuperSonic and Always In Our Hearts in Seattle.
