Dennis was the first denfensive guard to be called "shut down"(defensive stopper). He was physical, block shots, steal the ball and always in the middle of the action. Never ran away from pressure....he loved it..his greatness came out of it. Larry Bird became a 3 time MVP when Dennis came to Boston....that's why Bird says he was the best he ever played with. But more than that Bird knows DJ's mental toughness and smarts was just as great as his own.A hall of famer is one who dominate the game at some point in their career...DJ did that. He was clutch, tough, smart and a great teammate. 3 titles, MVP(1979 CHAMPIONSHIP)9 straight all-defensive team and 5 time all star.....Hall of Famer, Hall of Famer....what took those people who sat at the table so long to decide if he was good enough to get in...they need to be fired!
